CEPAS ANTIGUAS

Tempranillo

Fifteen months aging in new American oak barrels.

Four generations of a Riojan family, ‘Martínez’ by surname and ‘Corta’ by nickname. We were expert butchers – ‘cortadores’ it was said a century ago – and later, vine growers and winemakers. All of this always with passion, dedication, and tenacity. Heirs to these values, in this house we only know how to love what we do. It is our way of being and our legacy for future generations. To all of them, come the words of Catalina, “yours is the past and yours is the future.”

TASTING NOTES

Color: Intense cherry red with good depth. Aroma: Dense, smooth, firm with intense ripe black fruit (blueberries), balsamic and spicy with a floral and mineral finish. Palate: On the palate, it is elegant, flavorful, structured, with a great fruit load and well-structured tannins. Powerful and elegant with notes of licorice, toffee, cocoa, and vanilla.
