D.O.C. Rioja, Red Wine
Tempranillo 100%. Vineyards age: 30-40 years. Selected harvest during last week of September.
Own vineyards located at the low part of Uruñuela and Cenicero. Stone-Calcareous Soil. Average yield: 36Hls/Ha. Medium yield.
Own yeasts from our own vineyards. Controlled temperature: 27º optimum for the polyphenols extraction.
Alcoholic fermentation process for 8 days with pumping-over each 8 hours. Delestage with microoxigenation. After this, the wine will ferment with skins for 17 days reducing the pumping over.
2 months in deposit and 5 months in french and american barrels with one racking.
Medium rainy winter preceded by a humidity summer. Higher temperatures in February and March that helped an early budding. Water shortage favorable for minimizing sanitary treatment getting healthy grapes.
-Colour: red rybt, medium-high layer and high hints.
-Nose: Intense and expressive showing a good integration among the red fruits and the oak. Red fruits. Hint of spicy and vanilla notes.
-Palate: Fine Tannins, Freshness, Medium, Body, well balanced, the fruit prevailing over the oak and well integrated. Light hints of chocolate.
Storage: keep in dark places and controlled temperature, 18ºC.
Serving temperature: 16ºC.
Sausages, rice, pasta, legumes, roast and grilled meat.
