Tentacion Garnacha 2016

TYPE:

D.O.C. Rioja Red Wine

GRAPE VARIETY:

Garnacha 100%, 100 years vines.

VINEYARDS:

Vineyards located in Uruñulea and Alesón (Rioja Alta area) 100 years vines. Yield: 20 Kgs/Hectares. Limestone soil and stony. Manual Harvest.

FERMENTATION:

Traditional elaboration 100% destemming. We harvest during the first hours of the day so that the grapes reach the winery at a temperatura of not more than 5ºC. Alcoholic fermentation for 12 days at a controlled temperature of 22ºC.

MACERATION:

Maceration before the fermentation during 120 hours. Delastage with pumping over each 12 hours. After maceration, Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.

MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION:

Malolactic fermentation in oak barrel.

AGING: 

7 months in steel deposits and 7 months in French and American oak barrels with 2 racks.

TASTING NOTES: 

-Colour: Red ruby, purple hints.

-Nose: High concentration of Ripen red fruits. Floral and tropical notes.

-Palate: Well-balanced and integrated. Long intense and velvety. Intense hints of blackcurrants, plums and vanilla. Dry and soft tanning.

RECOMMENDATIONS: 

Storage: Dark places. Storage temperature.

Food Pairing: Smoked food, red meat, roast and grilled.
