It is impossible to make a good wine without taking care of every aspect, starting with study of the maturation of the vineyards situated in La Rioja. The vintage is carried out during the coolest hours of the day and the crop is made by hand.
After a 28 days elaboration and regular pumping over and cap submersions to extract optimum colour half an hour every six hours, with a new microxigenation technique, assured by our experts, we get a quality wine, who finished its malolactic fermentation aging 4 months in French and American oak new barrels.
The vintage was given EXCELLENT status by the Consejo Regulador. A mild
winter was followed by an early spring, bringing forward the onset of the
vegetative cycle. In early September temperatures dropped slowing down the
grapes´
maturation. Around 10th April, summer temperatures returned and the final
phase of maturation was perfect.
Ripen fruit cherry with violet tones.
Complex; the Raspberry and blackberry aromas are in perfect harmony with
the compound from the French oak.
In the palate it is a rich and very powerful wine, full of good fruity expressions
(blackberry jam). Sweet tannins giving the wine volume as well as good structure
and body like the rest of wines elaborated in our cellar.
